Funded by a Kickstarter campaign, this Fighting Fantasy adaptation for Windows pcs expands hugely on the source material, adding new art (and colourising the already existing art), many additional areas, new encounters and puzzles, many playable characters with various strengths and weaknesses, and different game missions dependent on the chosen characters.
Tin Man took their Gamebook Adventures: Fighting Fantasy series of apps to a whole new level with this outing as the approach mixes traditional gamebook styles (text with choices, illustrations, dice-rolling, etc) with a visual tabletop RPG design where each character is a digital gaming miniature moving around an ever-expanding on-screen gameboard. Battles mix Fighting Fantasy's dual-stat combat system with RPG-style attacking and retreating movement around a gridded board. Extra player-characters can be "bought" as you collect Souls by killing enemies and Tin Man's fun Achievements mechanic is also included.
