This series was published by the Australian arm of Penguin under their Puffin label. The books were intended to stand alone but to all have the common theme of Australian settings. Unfortunately, only one book was actually published before the series was discontinued; however, more than a decade after its publication, the author of one of the intended follow-up volumes released his work on the Internet as a free download (and later as a Kindle product). The first book is a time travel adventure while the second is an interactive horror tale; both have relatively basic game systems. The first book requires that the reader keep track of a limited inventory and pay attention for clues, but that’s about it; the second book also has a limited inventory but also adds the need to track wounds and select skills.
