Perhaps the earliest-to-be-documented series of gamebooks to have been nearly ended before it ever began, the single-entry title of the same name in "The Solo Dungeon" series is considered by some a cult classic among interactive fiction lovers (as well as a sought-after collector's item that still fetches quite a price). The sole title to have ever been released is an unfortunately mixed experience, however; divisively snarky writing, exceedingly generic dungeon crawling narrative conventions, ugly illustrations and an overall lacking of sustaining value make this adventure tough to recommend (though the playtesting was a success and the mapmaking exercise can be quite fun). That being said, there are those who are right to value this one's historic value to both RPG-grounded storytelling and interactive fiction as a whole. I can safely say this adventure is an acquired taste that has a definitve market, passionate fans and a clear vision in mind; for the majority of readers, however, many of the story's shortcomings come to mind far clearer than one might've hoped. As such, while I personally wouldn't recommend it, there are those in the demographic I know would love it who I'd tell to go all in and give it a play or two.
