This is among the first original gamebooks to be written in Italian. Its game system, described very concisely, features a few basic attributes, inventory management, combat and a means of tracking special events. Random numbers are printed at the tops of the pages in order to avoid the need for dice.

This is, indeed, the very first gamebook ever written in Italian. Its game system is simple but very effective, featuring the use of code letters in order to trigger specific events if some actions have been (or haven't been) done in earlier stages of the book.

The story and the setting have a typical Italian/medieval flavor, akin to the Mediterranean atmospheres of the Italian RPG Kata Kumbas and films like L'Armata Brancaleone.

There's even a song (at the end of the book) of the errant knight - music and lyrics - which can be easily played on flute and/or guitar, just to add more flavor to the book

This little masterpiece has only one flaw: it's too damn short!
