The gameplay in this book is slightly more interesting than in the previous one, with some choices that actually require some thought instead of guessing (including several which require careful interaction with nonplayer characters in order to succeed). There are also more chances to fail than in the second entry in the series, which makes this one feel a bit more engaging. There is even a failure ending for cheaters (a la Zork) for those who enjoy such things. Overall, this adventure is by no means a masterpiece, but I enjoyed it for a while. |
