Florik's Thoughts: |
The original Tunnels & Trolls adventures often provide two major plot strands to emphasize replayability and meaningful decisions. To a degree, this is also true for Stop Thief!, adventure 14 in the digital Crown of Klade campaign. To start things off, our hero applies for another dirty job. Someone's stealing at the docks. We may later side with the thieves or have them get busted. It's all just a question of experience points. No matter what we decide, our hero will be assassinated to start off the second half, one of those dreamlike T&T sequences in which he may be restored to life if one of the gods of Trollworld considers him worthy. Think Gamesmen of Kasar. Me, I like the gritty, the dark fantasy style T&T adventures. The ones that offer moral decision and interesting side stories. Thus, I prefer the first half of Stop Thief!. The second let me down a bit. |
