Kata Kumbas is a fantasy setting of the successful Savage Worlds RPG from GG Studio. Kata Kumbas itself was first published as an independent Italian RPG in the '90s; its setting is Laitia, a medieval and fantastic version of Italy. This trilogy of gamebooks follows the adventures of the reader, who travels through the Level Gate to find himself in the role of Ugger, the Knight of the Gate. The gameplay uses the Venture System, albeit simplified, a system which doesn't use any randomized method. Kata Kumbas, in particular, utilises three scores, Strength, Cunning and Wisdom, to which points are assigned by the reader. Their sum will be Ugger’s Energy. Another resource, Fate Points, will be useful to overcome the numerous checks of the game.
