Fireguard's Thoughts:

I've seen some good super hero parodies in my time, and I've probably seen more bad ones. Thrusts of Justice was a good one. Dudley Serious Saves the World, not so much. It uses the same basic set of characters from the other book in this series I used to have, Dudley Serious and the Space Patrol, and like that derives most of its humor from treating Dudley like a stupid jerk for acting out the conventions of the genre, and being only marginally competent despite being a high-profile hero. The melodrama of the super hero genre had been a ripe parody target for ages even back when this first came out, and it hasn't gotten any fresher with time since. It's not terrible, but it's quite shallow. Just read the online version for free if you're curious.
