Guillermo's Thoughts: |
This book is an old-school dungeon crawl with strong influence from Dungeons & Dragons. The usual wizards, creatures, and traps you would find in a D&D module are present. If you want to experience a dungeon crawl without any of the record-keeping or die-rolling (in the spirit of Dungeon of Dread or Return to Brookmere), this book is for you. While in Vampire Hunt the comic book sections worked quite well to enhance the story's atmosphere, in this book they are of lesser quality. Nonetheless, they do not detract from what is an enjoyable experience throughout. The dungeon is a lot of fun to explore in spite of it having way too many failure endings. Since there are two completely different successful endings, the book also has considerable replay value. This is definitely a worthwhile read. |
