Torgars fängelsehålor was the first of the Swedish Lone Wolf books to suffer a significant scaleback in its production values, and from this it suffers a lot. Gone is the traditional two page full colour map in the inner binder, replaced with a fuzzy black & white map at one of the last pages of the book. More devastating is the inexplicable omission of the last four illustrations even though their corresponding paragraphs still refer to them. The translation is a bit quirky in places and there are myriads of spelling errors and entire parts of words missing. Someone obviously saved a buck on proof reading.

However, for all its faults, The Dungeons of Torgar remains an entertaining entry into the Lone Wolf series. Although the highly branched storyline shortens the length of the adventure, it still offers the player a good number of choices and the chance to formulate a personal strategy.
