Warrior Women of Weymouth

Series: Wizards, Warriors & You #18
Authors: Siegel, Barbara
Siegel, Scott
Illustrator: Norem, Earl
Release Date: 1986
User Summary: A female knight in golden armor freezes King Henry's knights like statues. Unless she is defeated, the kingdom will be overrun by her army of female warriors!
Fireguard's Thoughts: I was surprised to learn that there were more than six books in the WW&Y series, and downright stupefied to learn the formula had lasted for eighteen. Sadly, the series goes out on a rather average entry. The settings and opponents are somewhat unusual but fail to raise the book above the rest of the series. Warrior Women of Weymouth isn't a bad book, it's just nothing special. When I finished and closed it up what I had just read didn't stay with me, and plenty of other WW&Y books had.

Errata:This book has the wrong Book of Weapons; it has the one from books 7-12, but the weapons used are from books 13-17. Page 31 mentions the characters' encounter with "the dreaded Falcon Knight." The Falcon Knight was actually a friend of theirs, and the adventure was about clearing his name. This may be a result of the book's misleading title.
Special Thanks:Thanks to Fireguard for the plot summary and errata.
