castiglione's Thoughts:

This mini-solitaire adventure seems to take place in the city of Khazan, and the reader is advised that for maximum enjoyment, he should also probably have the solitaire adventures Naked Doom or Arena of Khazan, as the adventure may result in him running afoul of the penal system of the city of Khazan; for those readers who do not own either of those adventures, an alternative is provided - the character must make a level 2 saving roll on luck - if he/she makes it, he/she escapes the authorities but loses all his/her possessions in the "escape"... if he/she doesn't make it, he/she dies three days later of injuries incurred during his/her arrest!

Guillermo's Thoughts:

(Review based on the Deluxe Tunnels & Trolls Adventurers Compendium version.)

This adventure is just a series of unconnected encounters taking place in a fantasy city setting. Like other T&T solos that appeared in Sorcerer's Apprentice magazine, it is extremely short, but there is some replay value to it. I enjoyed the fact that it is not as difficult to get through as earlier Sorcerer's Apprentice entries. Moreover, the adventure's tone makes it feel like a precursor to City of Thieves in the Fighting Fantasy series. Depending on the endings reached the player may be directed to continue the adventure in other, better known T&T solos (namely Naked Doom, City of Terrors, and Arena of Khazan). Overall, this is a good game.
