Guillermo's Thoughts:

This is the third in a series of Dragonlarks modern-day fantasy books in which you play a young princess at a special camp. The first thing I noticed about the book is its wordiness relative to other CYOA books for younger readers. This seems to be aimed at a slightly older audience than other 'lite' CYOA books (pre-teens maybe?), with a bit of a Harry Potter vibe added in (note: I later discovered that Chooseco is indeed sorting out the Dragonlarks books by reading level). There is nothing special in terms of gameplay, but I appreciated the fact that there are no frustrating 'you fail' endings - while there is only one optimal conclusion, all the others are designed to be satisfying by themselves, and the book is fun to read over and over. This isn't exceptional by any means, but compared to garbage like Your Purrr-fect Birthday, it shines like gold.

Cultural note: this book includes the first use of the word 'fart' I've seen in a CYOA entry.
