Darth Rabbitt's Thoughts:

In addition to what Demian and Stockton have said, this book is also very creepy for a Give Yourself Goosebumps. Some of the ghost descriptions terrified me as a child (specifically the Most Horrible Ghost that you may come across in one particularly scary ending). If more of the books in the series were like this one, Give Yourself Goosebumps wouldn't have such a bad reputation here.

Demian's Thoughts:

This book is surprisingly good for the series; some of the decisions are aided by actual thought rather than luck and the sarcastic sense of humor present in many of these books is used much more effectively than usual.

Stockton's Thoughts:

Creeping Coffin is definitely one of the best books in the Give Yourself series. The author does succumb to the "stuck with an impossibly unpleasant old lady" cliche (as Demian put it in another review), but it doesn't form the backbone of the plot and it's actually funny at times. Though the moving tombstones bit was certainly an odd way to get a message across, it showed unusual originality for this series. The plot does veer into random-land at times (as expected), but this is minimized so long as you stick with the "defeating the curse" strand. On the whole, this is a strong entry with excellent re-read potential.
