Item - Alice's Nightmare in Wonderland

Another fantastic interactive tale by Jonathan Green! Alice's Nightmare in Wonderland is a wonderfully dark rendition of the classic tale, or really more of a sequel of sorts, with Wonderland characters having knowledge of Alice's previous visits. This not the lovely-jubbly Wonderland you might have grown up with though, as things here have taken a drastic turn for the worse with a vile villain even more evil than before! Of course Alice is the only one who can do anything about it, and with this being a gamebook, that means YOU are the only person who can save the land. Really, this is a seriously entertaining read, featuring many recognisable characters who have become a shadow of their former selves. The puzzles Mr Green have included are a good challenge (loved the clock gate puzzle especially!) and his natural talent for storytelling shines through. This book from the ACE Gamebook series deserves to be in everyone's collection.
