This amateurish-looking book, bound with red plastic rings, describes itself as "a Choose Your Own Adventure story," though it is most definitely not officially associated with that series. The book was published in 1988 by Information Resource Consultants and was also released in computer game format for Apple II, Commodore 64 and IBM PC/PCjr systems.

 Meet Me at the Fair
Author: Barbara McDonough
Illustrator: Joyce Wissmann
First Published: 1988
ISBN: 0-931821-436
Length: 59 pages
Number of Endings: 4
Plot Summary: Your aunt takes you and your dog to the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair. It doesn't take long for you to get lost and find yourself being pursued by dog-eating Igorot tribesmen.
My Thoughts: This is a rather odd little book; it's full of lots of random facts about the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair, though it doesn't generally go into enough depth to be particularly educational. The line art throughout is for the most part fairly weak, and the writing is a bit annoying at times. Overall the book is like a slightly below-average Skylark Choose Your Own Adventure. I can't imagine that this would be much more exciting in its computer format...
Errata: The ISBN printed in the book is truncated by three digits. The complete and correct ISBN is listed above.
