This systemless stand-alone book is illustrated with photographs of Star Wars-based scenes created using Lego bricks and figurines. While there have been several video games, short films, and television shows which combine the Lego and Star Wars properties, this book does not seem to be directly based on any of them. Instead, the book allows the reader to experience adventures based on more canonical Star Wars materials such as the first eight episodic films, The Clone Wars and Rogue One films, and the Star Wars Rebels television show.

This is only one of several gamebooks which use the Lego license, most of which have also been released by DK. DK-published Lego gamebooks include the Lego Action Maze Books and the Lego Puzzle Storybooks.

This is also only one out of many gamebooks and solitaire adventures based on Star Wars, but it is unrelated (except for the subject matter) to any others.
