Wampic's Thoughts: |
This book is definitely written as horror and is a lot of fun if you can enjoy that genre. More choices than not lead to death for at least some of your friends and there is only one path in which you are (arguably) better off for having entered the park. The history of the park is fully explained on a few of the potential paths, but there are clues elsewhere to help the reader guess the nature of the threats within. Figuring out the powers and weaknesses of the antagonists does provide an advantage - at least some of the time. Another nice feature of the book is its use of the amusement park setting: a variety of rides and sideshows figure as potential hazards, hiding places, or even sources of resources to aid your escape. |
