User Summary: While you are on a field trip with a substitute teacher, strange colorful meteors begin falling from the sky. It only gets weirder from there....
Demian's Thoughts:

While many of the books in this series riff on familiar themes, this one is all over the place: sometimes you change size, sometimes you encounter strange aliens, sometimes you get involved in government experiments. Whatever you do, the book doesn't even attempt to explain what the meteors are or where they came from -- they are simply a means to various bizarre ends. For all of these reasons, the story would actually feel right at home in any number of series from the eighties. If you enjoy that classic form of random weirdness, you'll probably have some fun with this... but if you're looking for something deeper, or a unifying theme, you might be disappointed.
