Guillermo's Thoughts:

(review based on the Spanish translation)

This is a fairly good mystery / suspense gamebook with a story undoubtedly inspired by Mario Puzo. There are several paths to explore, but the majority of them lead to the same conclusion, with only one path leading to an ending which precludes that conclusion. As is usual in the Storytrails series, the excellent writing (novel-like) is one of the book's main strengths. The plot is also fairly complex and only one of the endings allows the reader to learn the truth behind it. The book is well-structured and solving the mystery will demand cautious choices, but there aren't as many different possibilities as you would find in the average Choose Your Own Adventure book. Despite this, the book is very involving and unlike many other pick-a-paths, is enjoyable because it treats the reader as an intelligent being. Definitely recommended.
