Cover Text: | Caltus Talienson, former squire to Sir Edric, is a soldier of fortune with no fortune in sight. His family home lies in ruins beyond the dreaded Mistwall, destroyed by the forces of the Dark Lord. Cal now seeks the mystical Runeswords, extraordinarily powerful weapons forged by the dwarves at the behest of a god. Of the four heroes of Cairngorn, only he has the skill, the strength, and the blind determination to wield the dangerous amd powerful Runeswords. |

Demian's Thoughts: |
This is another Runesword-inspired book that fails to excite me due to the rather mundane nature of the character it contains. At least it has a few useful cards in the front flap: four Tactical Move Cards (1 - Heroic Surge, 2 - Blind Swing, 3 - Heidlin's Step and 4 - Sideslip) plus an Ironwood Shield and the Runesword Sjonbrand. |
soren_nyrond's Thoughts: |
Notes: The Runesword is essential in order to carry out some of Cal's manoeuvres. This could present a problem in campaign settings where it can be stolen. The unbreakable shield is a nice gimmick, for a game where shields can get broken. |
