User Summary: | Statistics: Height - 5, Body Points - 35, Attacks - 2/1R |
Demian's Thoughts: |
This is a rather entertaining character, thanks mainly to the fact that he can become enraged, throw aside his weapon and attack with his teeth and bare hands! |
soren_nyrond's Thoughts: |
This was the "big" one of Nova's original 6 books, and was really meant for multi-player combat, with 2 or more heroes taking him on. The height of 5 gives him advantage on several maneuvers, his attacks can affect two foes at once and, just when you think you have him on the back foot, he moves to Extended Range and starts regenerating his Body Points. His weakness is his Rage -- yes, it gives him 2 manoeuvres with good damage modifiers, but it requires him to throw his weapon aside, which in turn means that, before he can hit you with it again, he has to pick it up. Plus, while he's Enraged, he can only attack one opponent rather than 2. He also has no Fake manoeuvres, and no Blocks, which means that his opponents have an easier-than-average chance of guessing what he'll do. Later on, heroes would come along who, on account of their own special talents, would be able to face the Troll 1-on-1, but in the early days, this was the Foe To Beat. |
