Item - Lone Wolf Game Book Omnibus

This has the same content as The Lone Wolf Adventures, but it's a thick, almost unwieldy paperback rather than an attractive hardback. Since both books share the same map, it is provided only once in the front of the book (just as in the single volumes).

This omnibus duology is pretty much everything one might expect it to be: a faithful reprinting of the first two "Lone Wolf" books, nothing else. As both the books are of varying degrees of quality (and as I had already read both titles before coming across this edition), my initial readthrough of this two-book retread left me somewhat disappointed; there's nothing particularly convincing about this book to readers who already own copies of the included titles, and as such I find that I can only recommend it to the most ardent collectors out there. I can't help but wonder why this book was released in the first place: the series was still growing rapidly and widely available at the time, and the adventures themselves seem better suited to mass market paperback format, so... this was perhaps a misfire from the series' early days. Still, it's not all that bad - just a bit questionable as to WHY it was ever made. ^^
