Kveto's Thoughts: |
I made another foray into the GURPS Conan solo books, this one based upon the classic Robert E. Howard tale. This one follows the short story quite closely, so if you are familiar with that tale, you'll have a lot of meta-knowledge (but of course, cannot affect the ending). Like Conan the Wyrmslayer, you aren't obligated to be Conan, offering you a chance to make your own character to be a lover to Belit, such as a Zingarian pirate or Black spearsman. I do wonder why a reader would pick up a Conan book and not opt to be Conan. It also offers several scenarios where you lead a group of warriors, giving some mass combat options. |
