knifebat's Thoughts:

This book follows the typical CYOA style format where you flip from page to page. It does have chapters, so you can skip to a certain chapter rather than retracing from the very beginning, which is very useful.

You are Jonathan Harker, who has to survive and escape Dracula's castle, and then you have join up with the vampire hunters lead by Prof. Van Helsing and protect your wife Mina. Renfield is sadly not in this book.

There are a ton of deaths which always take you to the same page ending. Now that may sound like a bad thing at first; however, it's actually a good thing because it prevents flipping to the page and seeing The End before you even start reading the page, which adds a little bit more suspense.

If you know the original story, then you pretty much have to follow that path to get all the way through to the end. The good thing about that is, this book stays true to the original story, much simplified though, of course. The bad thing is that for someone like me who enjoys experiencing different and wild story paths, none of that is there.

All in all I did enjoy this book, I thought it was well written, and of course the theme is great. Just treat it as a barebones minimum version of Dracula.
