This third variant printed by publisher Gallimard in the Folio Junior series. The cover features new artwork (i.e. the warlock and dragon from the original UK series). In addition, the Folio Junior cabochon logo is omitted from the front cover, different to previous editions. This omission was the case for the whole Sorcery series, Lone wolf up to number 2 and up to number 11 for Fighting Fantasy gamebooks published between January and March 1985.
