This series of easy-to-read gamebooks based on fairy tales came out in the mid '80s from Scholastic, Inc. As you'll see in my review below, my copy of the first book of this series is unreadable due to printing problems. I'm not sure whether or not a corrected version was ever released.

If you have information (or books) you'd like to share, please e-mail me at demiankatz@gmail.com.

 1. The Adventures of Puss in Boots
Authors: Margaret Davidson and Carson Davidson
Illustrator: Yuri Salzman
First Published: Unknown (the title page isn't present)
ISBN: 0-590-40502-0
Length: 76 pages
Number of Endings: Unknown (due to printing errors)
Plot Summary: You are are a cat who has decided to leave home after questioning the loyalty of your master.
My Thoughts: My copy of this book is decidedly unplayable. It starts on page 45, goes all the way to the end, then starts again on page 29 and once again makes its way to the end. Pages 1 through 28 aren't present in any form, making the book impossible to play. Apparently my copy is a freak accident, though, as I've received reports of readable copies out there; if you have a spare you'd be willing to share with me, please let me know!

2. The Adventures of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

 3. The Adventures of Thumbelina
Authors: Margaret Davidson and Carson Davidson
Illustrator: Yuri Salzman
First Published: May, 1987
ISBN: 0-590-40503-9
Length: 76 pages
Number of Endings: 11
Plot Summary: You are Thumbelina, a tiny girl, and you get kidnapped by a frog who wants to marry you to her son. Oh dear.
My Thoughts: This is a very strange book... It's not very well-written, but it sometimes is insanely silly enough to be kind of amusing. The gameplay is rather uninvolving; at several points in the story you determine the results of your actions rather than your actions themselves. This kind of detracts from the roleplaying aspect of the book.
