This series of reissues from the classic Choose Your Own Adventure series is aimed at the educational market as well as consumers. As with the Fighting Fantasy Reissues, the release order is switched around significantly and some original titles are mixed in with the reprints. Australian editions were issued with different covers and with some volumes skipped (see this page for details).

Some of the books in this series have what seem to be obvious updates from the original. House of Danger, for example, features a line about how you enter the address of the house into your smartphone, also some of the dilemma about whether to call the police or not seems a bit useless, as your character is carrying a phone, while in the 80s you'd have had to spend precious time to go and find a land line.

It seems that R. A. Montgomery has taken the series over and put out reissues of mostly his books and those of his wife (Shannon Gilligan) and one entry from Jay Liebold (Secret of the Ninja). Not an Edward Packard title in the lot.
The books have all new cover and interior illustrations and have reverted to the original Choose Your Own Adventure style of a white cover with a framed illustration and the CYOA name in an elongated red oval (now in metallic printing along with the book's title on the front cover). In fact, apart from looking brand-new, the format seems to be exactly the same, even down to the signature CYOA font. There is even a tie-in website which allows users to take "virtual adventures", special online-only paths.
Although Montgomery isn't my favorite gamebook author, it is admirable that he is trying to revive the series. I hope that at some point he might add new titles to the series, rather than just reprints.
