These two books, set on the strange and deadly planet of Hark, are fairly unique; they have an emphasis on gameplay over plot even though they don't have any sort of formal game system apart from a meaningless score total which accumulates during play. The books end up feeling more complex than they actually are for two main reasons: the sections are short (and printed several to a page) and finding the victorious ending requires a great deal of trial and error (and more than a little mapping).
