Just because something can be created doesn't mean it should! Remember that, ladies and gentlemen; remember it well. Featuring some of the worst writing, most dreadful execution and eye-gougingly distasteful artwork ever found in print (at least in the world of interactive literature, or with reference to the video game series of the same name this standalone adventure cashes in on), "The Legend of Zelda" is a not-at-all-fabulous flop that tarnishes the good name it hides behind. Don't assume that the quality of the games is in full force here; if anything, keep your conscience clear if you decide to examine just how awful this sixteen-page disaster plays out. I sincerely believe you can't come up with a weaker form of execution than was used by the writers; I also believe that not an ounce of intelligence was used when putting together anything to do with the characters (who are out of character and embarrassingly handled), the narrative (cliche, threadbare and sorely lacking in all departments), the quality of the interactive experience (if you can honestly call this interactive), and so on. And don't even get me started on how bad the artwork is! Avoid this one at all costs; trust me, it'll just remind you once again of how poor the quality of gamebooks can be, or why the format itself is showered with contempt when bad works arise (and, in this case, get fittingly forgotten to time).
