Kveto's Thoughts: |
Another one by Jean Rabe, who seems to like exotic settings; this one is set in Al-Qadim, the D&D answer to the Arabian nights setting. You play a street urchin who inherits a magical quest to find a magic carpet split into four sections. It contains a few good scenes, my favourite being an encounter with a golem who covers you with a blanket while you sleep, which happens to be a section of the magic carpet. But overall not as fun as Rabe's other entries. Probably because the main character is far too much of an Aladdin clone to take seriously. |
