Item - Timewyrm: Genesys

This is a good book, of that I have no doubt. I got it on inter-library loan and had to finish it in 14 days. I finished it long before then. The fact that it took place in Mesopotamia and had Gilgamesh and Enkidu as characters was a definite plus, because I have always been interested in that time, that place, and those people. It also has the Doctor and Ace pretending to be gods! What'ss not to like?

This book will be particularly enjoyable to anyone who has read the legend of Gilgamesh, for it has many characters and places from that story.

The book is the first book in a quartet, but it stands up on its own pretty well. Even if it is a bit predictable at times (and has terrible puns for some chapter titles), it is generally a very enjoyable book. I recommend it, but be warned it is not always G-rated.
