Having little interest in piloting didn't matter - this was probably one of the best-written titles in the series. It's detailed, your situation is specific and urgent. And the decisions you get are reasonable. The first choice is three-pronged, and you have to make a decision knowing that you have limited fuel. Surprisingly, even the material that takes place on the ground seems relevant to the premise (with one exception, when you find a rich guy who has been kidnapped.) Still, it was a good note for the series to go out on. |

This is a good, if not great, close to the most famous gamebook series. It's a bit on the short side, but the plot is interesting and accurate as far as I can tell. There are a good number of choices, although there is a lot of pointless page-hopping and long sections of prose, too. Not the best, but certainly not the worst; Packard comes through (with his daughter) yet again. |
