Guillermo's Thoughts: |
This first book in the Tracker series is a fun, if short, science fiction read. It has less variety than the previous book I read in this series (Treasure of Shark Island) and also feels less challenging. These flaws are easier to forgive if we take into account that with this book the authors were just starting to experiment with the interactive form. In case you care, the illustrator did not seem to know how to draw. Overall, this book is entertaining but nothing exceptional compared to the gamebooks produced in the eighties. It's worth a look if you can find it at a reasonable price, but you should not pay an arm to read it. |
Special Thanks: | Thanks to Robert Clay for the original cover image and to Ken G. for the reissue scans. Thanks to Guillermo Paredes for the plot summary. |
