Guillermo's Thoughts: |
(review based on the Spanish translation) This is a brilliant gamebook. While the design is very similar to that found in all other Storytrails books I've read so far, the story and writing are superb. Nothing beats the thrill of playing a child who tries to foil the plans of gangster gangs by sheer wits. Gameplay is also quite challenging. Furthermore, the endings vary meaningfully depending on the reader's choices, and the life of the protagonist develops in vastly different ways depending on the ending reached. This is more interesting than the vast majority of gamebooks where the different endings are only meant to describe different ways to die horribly. Highly recommended. |
Special Thanks: | Thanks to Guillermo Paredes for the plot summary and Ken G. for the cover scans. |
