Item - Hot Pursuit

Once again, one of the factions in the city of Gull asks for your help. This time it's "the Rangers": The natives of the isle of Phoron go by that name. As you'll find out in Hot Pursuit, Gull is facing an even bigger threat than the Demregh drug in Golden Dust, Red Death was. You'll also face harder opposition, though you may find a powerful weapon to help you in the fights.

Of particular note is one instance where a failed "attribute check" turns out to be actually beneficial, as you may thus avoid the toughest fight in the (virtual) book.

Hot Pursuit is less about choices and more about finding an optimal path. It presents a more straightforward conflict than its predecessor, but fewer sidelanes worth pursuing.
