This series uses the Choose Your Own Adventure format to tell stories inspired by the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles television series, allowing the reader to control the actions of Indiana Jones. The books are set between 1908 and 1920, with an even split between those set during Indiana Jones' childhood and those during his teenage years. Various well-known historic events are portrayed, and each volume includes a lengthy glossary and a list of suggestions for further reading, making these the most educational books in the Choose Your Own Adventure family.

User Comments

The books in this series are quite a bit more detailed and well-written than the average book in the Choose Your Own Adventure series. However, that doesn't mean they will appeal to most readers. For one thing, they have very few choices and endings. Sometimes, 15 or more pages of text go by without a choice! Readers with short attention spans might want to look elsewhere for a good gamebook, but if you're a fan of history or Young Indiana Jones, or you just wonder what it was like back in the early 20th century, these books just might be for you!
