These continuity-free mystery gamebooks were released as one of Troll's four The Choice is Yours sets. Each of these four-book sets offers the usual basic "make a choice and turn the page" gameplay and multiple endings. The most unusual feature of the series is the fact that each section begins with a list of page numbers from which the reader could possibly have arrived. Such backwards references are not unique to this collection of series (they're also found in the Plot-It-Yourself and Plot-Your-Own books published by Wanderer), but they are fairly uncommon.
