These systemless choose-your-path books allow the reader to play the role of DC Comics superhero Batman. Unlike many other series in the You Choose line, each book in this series consists of a single long adventure, instead of three short ones. This is one of several series by the same publisher dealing with DC Comics characters, the others being You Choose: Superman, You Choose: Justice League, and You Choose: Wonder Woman.

There have been several interactive series and games which have featured Batman as a player character, though this series appears to be unrelated (except for the subject matter) to any of them. These books also appear to be unrelated both to the You Choose the Way Dick Tracy gamebook and to the Australian You Choose series.
