This unusual book uses the gamebook format to provide the reader with an opponent in a game of Tic-Tac-Toe. The game is filled with numbered game grids. You turn to the page corresponding with the space where you wish to put your mark, and then you see your opponent's next move. At some points, you are asked to rotate your grid (which allows the author to economize on space). It is possible (but obviously not common) to win the game, even though a crueler author could theoretically have designed the book to force no better than a stalemate.
