While this book was told to be set in the Cherubion setting, it was actually a gamebookization of some Michael Moorcock novels, as far as I can tell. You travel through literal burning deserts, demonic villages, giants, even a living mountain, but it actually shows lack of editing, as you can't lose rounds in this system, unlike with the Fighting Fantasy engine. There also might exist a loop where you can get infinite statistics. And the ending seems like it is happening in an entirely different book. This volume also has some editorial problems, which lead to the text being left to the interpretation of the reader. |
