| Cover Text: | The second issue is thematically centered on the adventure stories of Alan Sharp: “The Gold of Abilene,” which tells a tale of cowboys, Native Americans, and a robbery of the state railway, and “The Tomb of Amenosis,” a journey to Egypt at the end of the nineteenth century. Both stories are illustrated by the renowned comic artist Evgeniy Yordanov. The magazine also features biographical materials about Alan Sharp, as well as articles on the comics set in the world of Kull the Conqueror by Robert E. Howard, on the gamebooks from the American “Time Machine” series, and on the Bulgarian gamebook series about Ringlas, a kind of local counterpart to Kull. Included as well is the short story “And Three Fought Against Five Hundred,” set in the same world, by Elena Pavlova. The remaining pages include a review of the gamebook “Ninja!” and a brief overview of Bulgarian gamebooks set in the Wild West. |
