Item - 1000 Gefahren im Gruselschloss

I was intrigued when I found out that this series has some original titles, not just translations of books written in English. I read this book with the help of Google Translate so I can't comment on the quality of the writing. The story, however, reminds me of Twistaplot or early R. A. Montgomery without the mysticism. You have inherited a castle, but strange things start to happen when you arrive. The story is zany and the action is fast-paced, with every page featuring either a choice or an ending (except the introduction, which covers two pages). I can safely reveal some of the plot without spoiling the book because you'll have no idea how your choices get you from point A to point B. This book features a werewolf, a genie, an underground rollercoaster, a roomful of creepy wax figures, and who knows what else. This book isn't for people who agonize over every choice because it relies heavily on random events to drive the story. But if all you care about is action, then this one might satisfy you.
